Design Value: "Blossom" is a short animation movie that tends to inspire people to take care of themselves and don't lose their focus during hard times.
To give the idea of focusing on yourself & grow through the struggles. (It is mostly based on the mandatory lockdown during the current pandemic.)
Research
After the global pandemic breakout, people now have to stay indoors and keep their daily lives as normal as before. As I've seen online, a few popular methods are being used by people as a coping mechanism during these hard times.

According to the World Health Organization, these are the ways to cope with stress during a crisis (e.g. COVID-19 outbreak):
1- If you must stay at home, maintain a healthy lifestyle - including proper diet, sleep, exercise and social contact with loved ones.
2- It is okay to feel sad, stressed, confused, scared or angry during a crisis. Talking to people you can trust can help.
3- Limit worry and agitation by lessening the time you and your family spend watching or listening to media coverage.
4- Draw on skills you have used in the past that have helped you to manage previous life's advertises and use those skills to help you manage your emotions.

Color Palette
Alongside with the overall color palette, I have chosen 4 main colors that would drive the idea of the project.
Green: It symbolizes growth, harmony and freshness. Green has strong emotional correspondence with safety.
Yellow: Yellow stands for freshness, happiness, positivity, clarity, energy and optimism.
Orange: It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, creativity, determination.
Pink: Color of the cherry blossom flower. Cherry blossoms are a symbolic flower of the spring, a time of renewal, and the fleeting nature of life.

There was an attempt on making a short animation movie poster, but decided to use the artbook cover image to implement it into a style for advertising, poster and thumbnail image for the project. Here are some sketches:
